Shawn Farrell has been a Pleasanton resident for more than 30 years. As a licensed real estate agent since 1994 and an integral member of the Gina Piper Team since 2010, Shawn has had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients in the Tri-Valley area to help them find and purchase their California dream home. Shawn’s successful real estate career spans more than 23 years, and his breadth of knowledge includes all realms of the Bay Area market and industry.
Prior to beginning his career in real estate, Shawn served in the U.S. Coast Guard for five years. His background includes experience as a licensed appraiser and he has several years of experience working in the mortgage banking industry. As his clients will attest, Shawn’s focus is on assisting first-time and experienced buyers in navigating the home-purchasing process – providing support and in-depth expertise every step of the way. Involved in marketing and advertising efforts, showing featured properties, and overseeing all escrow-related activities, Shawn has a hand in all aspects of the business.
In his spare time, Shawn can be found working on his beloved 1978 Land Cruiser. He also enjoys attending live music shows with his wife and hiking or going to the beach with their two dogs, Kodi and Frankie.
Cindy Whitehand has been calling Pleasanton home since 2000, when she joined the community upon relocating from London, England with her husband and two daughters. Cindy brings the Gina Piper Team 15 years of experience as a licensed real estate agent, and during her five years as a member of the team, she’s proven to be a valuable source of knowledge regarding the Pleasanton and surrounding Tri-Valley areas. Known for her genuine enthusiasm and reputation for going above and beyond, Cindy oversees all administrative functions and also meets with every client to ensure seamless transactions.
Cindy is actively involved in giving back through her volunteer efforts, supporting many of Pleasanton’s local community groups and philanthropic initiatives. She’s been a board member of Pleasanton Rage Soccer for the last eight years and has been an integral part of the soccer program for more than 15 years. Cindy also serves on the board of the 150-member St. Andrew’s Scottish Society in Pleasanton, which promotes Scottish culture and observes and celebrates deep-rooted traditions and holidays.
An avid runner, Cindy logs up to 40 miles every week. She’s also a devoted reader with an affinity for English history.
Viviana Cherman has been a valued contributor to the Better Homes and Gardens team for almost three years. As a licensed Broker, she partners with Gina's clients to assist with their home purchase and selling transactions in the Tri-Valley area. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Viviana has been a Bay Area resident for 17 years and is a 10-year resident of Pleasanton.
An expert in social media marketing initiatives, Viviana knows how to effectively utilize various platforms to market clients’ properties. In addition, Viviana excels in knowing and communicating current market conditions and readily taps into her network of professionals to stage homes for maximum impact.
Viviana’s career includes an extensive background in sales and customer service and a role as a Financial Advisor for a subsidiary of AEGON. Prior to serving as a Corporate Trainer for Tickets.com, she managed and motivated the company’s 100+ call center representatives. Throughout her career, Viviana has been known for taking customer service to the highest level.
A firm believer in giving back to her community, Viviana supports local charitable causes and organizations. She’s the Director of Events, Vice President of External Affairs for the San Francisco chapter of ALPFA, a non-profit devoted to developing Latino leaders. As President, Board of Directors, for Hispanic Business Education Network (HBEN), Viviana helps promote and support local businesses.
Viviana earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA. She’s also a completed the coursework to become a Certified Financial Planner, at San Francisco State University. Along with her husband, she leads a 9-week financial education and empowerment course at a local church.
In her free time, Viviana enjoys swimming, exercising, traveling internationally, listening to country music and cake decorating. She’s also a triathlete and adores puppies!
